We have a fully equipped practise room, situated conveniently on University Park Campus, a short walk away from the Trent building and from most halls. If you’ve never been to the room before, here’s a map to help you! It's labelled as The Red Room. We do infact have a 2nd room, but this will not be ready for another week or so!

The room is ready to be used and require you to only bring your instruments and yourselves (+ any effects and cables you use).

In the room is:

  • a vocal PA system with at least two Mics
  • A full drum-kit
  • Two combo guitar amps
  • One bass amp
  • Chairs and Sofas

Note that the room has bins, kindly use them instead of the floor! :D

The practice room is easy to book if you follow these simple steps:

  1. Sign Up to BandSoc (can be done through the SU website)
  2. Attend the room booking sign up sessions, every Wednesday lunchtime from 12pm – 1pm @ Mooch, Portland building. Look for a group of music “band” like people and ask for “Sparkles”/"Dan"/"Snaily"/"Manchasm".
  3. Rooms cost £4 for 3 hours. Only 1 slot can be booked per band, per week unless demand is particularly low.
  4. please do not call, text or e-mail the president regarding sign up (or he will eat you), please PM him on the forum!!!
  5. Arrive at The Trent Security Office with time to spare, and ask for the room keys. If the keys aren’t there, wait for the band before to return them. You will need 2 BandSoc membership cards and 2 SU cards to get the keys.
  6. Enjoy your practice! and please treat the rooms with respect.
